I have a divx movie with subtitles. I converted it with divx converter with en subtitles. I can see the subtitles when i play the movie on my computer, but no subtitles show in tcpmp on my ppc?? i don't get it, they're the exact same file. pls help!

read further down the page for info and download the plugin for subtitles

although most deals with a separate movie file & separate subtitle file ... in your case you have re-encode for the subtitle and the movie file as both in one file ... so I'm not sure

exactly as Kazkin said... the only thing is that this special version of TCPMP uses only .smi subtitles but you can use Subtitle Workshop to change any .srt ( my case ) to .smi.

Hmmm...I installed the subtitle plug-in for 0.71, the same version as my TCPMP and there is a new 'Subtitle' option in the menu, but the options are all faded out and there are still no subtitles in the movie. I don't understand what you mean by different subtitle files. There's only one file for my movie, a divx file. When I rip the DVD, I include the main VOB and INF files. Do I need to search for these subtitle files in DVD decrypter as well when ripping?

I haven't used DVD decrypter but if you have a divx movie you should have the subtitles in a separate file... some of them use the .srt extension.

Had been trying to figure this out for the last 2 days. Finally got it I can turn on/off subtitles.

The TCPMP player and subtitles add-on must be of the same version. I am using 0.72RC1. Install the player, then the add-on. You may need to soft reset to get it to work. Start the program "TCMPMP Subtitle Edition". You must then change the player's default Video Driver from "Intel 2700G Decoder" to "Intel 2700G" or a few others for the subtitles to show. Open the movie file. The .smi subtitle files shold have the same name and located in the same directory.

P.S. If using DVD Decrypter, you have to extract the subtitles from the VOB files to a seperate file using a tool like freeware "Subrip". Or perhaps you can extract the subtitles from the divx file as well. Then change the subtitle file into .smi format.

I'm using this version too. Can you or someone please upload the subtitle add-on? I'm searching every where but couldn't find it. The http://mabin.info/tcpmp/page.php?id=downloads&lang=en link is still under development stage. Greatly appreciated...

These are cab files, in order to install you need capinstl program which is available from the web. Download capinstl program and was able to install. Thanks...
