Need a recommendation for a calculator
Does anyone have a recommendation for a calculator? Engineering modes, binary/hexadecimal modes, and financial modes would be required. I noticed a freeware Calc98 (www.calculator.org). For $10 it appears that you get the premium version with all of the bells & whistles. It was not apparent what comes in the free version. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I use spacetime but I'm not sure if it fits your needs.

My take is these folks http://www.lygea.com have the best if you like HP calulators. I purchased their bundle of HP 12C, 15C, and 16C...

If you are a HP fan you might also want to check out emu48 which is an emulator for the hp39, 40, 48 (S, SX, G, GX) and 49 calculators for both the PC and the PPC. Some people seem to have trouble getting it working on their PPC but I have had it running on an iPaq 3835 (2002), a 5555 (2003) and an Axim x51v (WM5) without any problems. Go to hpcalc.org for all the most recent emu48 files.

I have Calc 98 from a long time ago. Back then, there was no premium version. So I can't tell you the difference. But I can say it's a solid product, and one of the few freebies with RPN.

I’ve just published my FULL roundup & tutorial on emulating HP’s calculators at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/emula...ws-mobile.html - don’t forget to check it out.

Also note that I’ve previously published a FULL roundup & tutorial on using TI’s calculators at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/appli...ws-mobile.html - it’s also worth checking out.

(Sorry for the flood – I want all interested parties to take note of these articles. They’re well worth reading, I think.)
