Hello guys, I've just joined and my question is directed toward recording external temperature data. I've had my PDA for a number of years now so I want to toy/hack around with it.

Is there anyway way of going about adding a temperature sensor to the Dell Axim 51? I've seen a few pcb temp kits out there that come with the sensor and a board, and ddl and such for programming the application to record the data. Some use usb. I've already read the threads about the usb connectivity issue. Is there any other way I could get around this?

Any help would be much appreiated.

My main questions are;

- Does the dell anim have a in built temp sensor? could I solder a longer sensor outside of the unit
- ^ if the above is true, is there an easy way I could capture this temperature programming wise?

else

Are there any other options?

Hello. I have a Dell Axim X30 that I got from my husband as part of the divorce settlement (grin). Anyway... I went to Microsoft to download the latest version of ActiveSync that I thought would work with the X30 (version 4.5?), but it won't download and install... I get an error message from Microsoft that says "ActiveSync cannot be installed on Vista."

I can't BELIEVE that I can't sync this PDA with my Outlook 2007. Can't anyone help me???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

This is exactly the program ive been looking for!! But it seems it has some deal breaking bugs i was wondering if anyone else was having the same issues as me. When the tilt is put in landscape mode the program doesnt show what you are typing in the message box, normally i could live with this but i find the tilts KB is the best method for texting. The other issue ive noticed is that if the programs open and running, like lets say you texted someone then set the tilt down without exiting the chat or maybe exiting the program in general sms-chat wont notify you of a new text received. I mean it doesnt show anything on the screen or play a sound or anything.

To bad i was really hoping this little piece of software was going to be the ticket for me. I also tried demo's of there other software and most of it seemed buggy and not ready to acually stick a price tag on.

Anyways i was just curious if anyone else has had these problems. Maybe its just my set up i tried three diffrent windows mobile 6.1 roms and the program had the same issue every time.

I have for sale a Dell Axim 50v with 640x480 VGA screen, 625MHz processor, bluetooth, wifi, - etc. I have windows mobile 6.0 loaded currently, but have the disks for 5.0 and 2003SE which can be reloaded. The battery is still holds its charge and I can watch a divx movie for over 2 hrs without a problem. I am including the disks, the craddle (which currently doesnt work with usb, but does allow you to charge), 1 512MB compact flash card, 1 GB SD card, and charger. I am asking $100 shipped obo. for it.
