I sent a support request a week ago, but have not heard back from SKTools. Is that typical? I am trying to replace an application shortcut icon with another icon and (not SKTools), but I cannot figure out how to do this. If you can tell me how or where to find this info in a support document, I would be grateful!

icon files are either embedded in an exe/dll or (sometimes) separately in an ico file. you can use icoFX to edit/extract icon images for applications on windows/ppc...

SKTools is not able to change/edit icons from PE files (.exe, .dll, .cpl ...) for shortcuts.

2 ways:

1.) For the shortcut, you can associate icon from another PE file with icon resources. Our program " Shortcut Manager " can do it.

2.) Do edit PE files included icon resources with an resource editor.
I will not explain in detail because of possible breach of copyright.

Thanks; I will give shortcut manager a try.
Quite frankly, SKTools is like a Swiis army knife; I keep finding new devices and applications built into SKTools! Somehow I thought shortcut changes were part of it.
